- Lapsed Accounts: In order to keep Jacks Bargain Bin membership roster current, if a Member does not access his or her account for a period of six months or more, Jacks Bargain Bin may, in its sole discretion, terminate such Member's account. Jacks Bargain Bin will endeavor to notify a Member of Jacks Bargain Bin’s intent to terminate such Member's account by notice to such Member's provided email address at least 14 days prior to deactivation. If the Member fails to respond to such email notice with ten days after the day it is sent by Jacks Bargain Bin, such Member's account will be terminated as noted above. Therefore, Jacks Bargain Bin strongly recommends that all Members keep their accounts and contact data current and in use. While Jacks Bargain Bin desires to prevent active accounts from being terminated prematurely, Jacks Bargain Bin has no obligation to maintain accounts that appear to Jacks Bargain Bin to have been abandoned. Each Member agrees that failure to access his or her account for six months or more conclusively indicates that such Member's account has been abandoned and that the account may therefore be terminated.
- Verify Members' Address: Jacks Bargain Bin reserves the right to contact a Member via email to verify the accuracy of account information (including the Member's correct name and address) that is needed to provide the Member with the information he or she requested from Jacks Bargain Bin.
PRODUCTS & AVAILABILITY
1. I saw an item on your website yesterday, but today it's gone!
No, it's not! We don't remove any items from our database, even when they're discontinued and no longer available. But items that are "discontinued" or on "order stop" status are no longer available for order, so they don't show up when you search using the Quick Search from the top page of our site. In order to locate all the items in our database, including items that are no longer available for order, you've got to use the Advanced Search function. Even when you're searching for available items, the Advanced Search is a powerful engine that allows you to search using many criteria including keyword, manufacturer, availability, product type -- even the item code if you know it. Give it a try!
And don't forget to check your spelling when you're searching, using either the Quick Search or the Advanced Search, to ensure that you're using the search function accurately!
2. I have been waiting a long time, but my items are always on backorder. When will you be able to ship to me?
Unfortunately, this is one of the most frustrating things about working in the bargain bin industry. Most of the time, we simply have no idea when additional stock of products will be coming in. However, here are a few guidelines to help give you a rough idea:
- If you're waiting for a newly-released, standard plastic kit, we will probably have more within a month or two.
- If you're waiting on a kit that was originally released more than a year ago, you may need to wait several months or longer before it comes into stock.
- If you're waiting on a garage kit (resin or soft-vinyl item), we don't have any idea at all, but if the kit is a character-related item that was released more than 18 months ago, you may want to look elsewhere for the item.
3. I want to know if you have stock on certain items before I place my order.
Our stock status system allows you to check the availability of an item from within the item's page. Click on the colour-coded status indicator on the item's page to receive more detailed information about our expectations for that product.
Many items we don't regularly stock (for reasons of size, cost, or low demand) are available from our distributors and we get them quickly when we place an order for them if a customer requests one. Also, an item we normally stock may just be temporarily out when you happened to check it. This, too, means nothing about whether we can get it quickly for you or not.
We will shop at our distributors for items ordered by customers that are not in stock until we either find it for you, or become convinced the search is futile. If you are worried about missing a chance to acquire the item, and want to place another order with another company, go ahead and do so. You can always cancel your order with JBB if you find the item elsewhere first.
